07.28.2003: Ack! And here I thought I was updating on time, only to discover I'm two days late. Ah well. The posts for the last few months are now online in current.

06.26.2003: An update with the final chapters should arrive sometime in the next month. I'm not sure when exactly. It would have been up well before now, but all of those posts are in an inconvenient webmail account. :bleh: I can't say whether it will be the last update to this site. I may do more work should the spirit move me.

04.01.2002: The NuRPG has officially come to an end. A lack of interest and the death of the main thread were the largest contributing factors. And no, this is no April 1st joke (for all three of you who aren't on the Listserv).

The NuRPG was an interactive story that existed and lived within the world of Nu, a Nexus of worlds, destined since its very birth to greatness. The two great forces which opposed one another across the face of Existence both saught control of Nu, for to control a Nexus meant gaining the upper hand in all the worlds connected to it.

The forces of Darkness had gained that upper hand. In a desperate attempt to reinstate the equilibrium, the forces of Light had fully opened the portals to Nu, allowing the adventurers of the worlds which were under the influence of the Nexus to fight for their chosen side. There is, of course, somewhat of a risk involved in this procedure, since this also allows the forces of Darkness to summon heroes for its side.

We were those who inhabited the world of Nu. We were every adventurer, guard, king and merchant in this great land. We, the writers of the NuRPG, had breathed life into this world. We were ever expanding and all encompassing. The only limit to our characters was our own imagination.
